Christmas Alphabet Lyrics

C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S

C is for the candy trimmed around the Christmas tree
H is for the happiness with all the family
R is for the reindeer prancing by the window pane
I is for the icing on the cake as sweet as sugar cane
S is for the stocking on the chimney wall
T is for the toys beneath the tree so tall
M is for the mistletoe where everyone is kissed
A is for the angels who make up the Christmas list
S is for old Santa who makes every kid his pet
Be good and he'll bring you everything in your Christmas alphabet!

Capital C is for the candy trimmed around the Christmas tree
H is for the happiness with all the family
R is for the reindeer prancing by the window pane
I is for the icing on the cake as sweet as sugar cane
S is for the stocking on the chimney wall
T is for the toys beneath the tree so tall
M is for the mistletoe where everyone is kissed
A is for the angels who make up the Christmas list
S is for old Santa who makes every kid his pet
Be good and he'll bring you everything in your Christmas (Christmas) alphabet!

Christmas Alphabet Play video

Christmas Alphabet is a cheerful mid-century pop song written by Buddy Kaye and Jules Loman, first recorded in 1954. It became a huge festive hit when British singer Dickie Valentine's 1955 recording reached number one on the UK charts. The song spells out Christmas letter by letter, giving each one a merry meaning — a clever, sing-along way to celebrate the season.

Our Love to Sing choir keeps it bright and bouncy, and its A-B-C hook makes it a natural for early-literacy fun. It's a favorite for classroom music lessons, Christmas concerts and spelling along at home.

How to get your music

Downloading your songs is quick and easy — here's everything you need to know.

How do I download my songs after I buy them?

Your songs are ready to download as soon as your order is confirmed. There are three easy ways to get them:

1. On the confirmation page — right after you check out, look for the “Your music downloads” section and click the Download button. Your song saves straight to your device.

2. From your confirmation email — open the order confirmation email from Love to Sing and click “Download your music”. This opens your order page, where you can download each item.

3. From your account, any time — go to account.lovetosing.com, sign in with the same email you used at checkout, click Orders, open your order, and click Download under “Your music downloads”.

Your songs are MP3 files that play on any phone, tablet, or computer. If anything doesn’t work, just reply to your order confirmation email and we’ll see if we can help.

Where can I find my downloads later?

Sign in to your account at account.lovetosing.com, go to Orders, open your order, and you'll see “Your music downloads” with a button for each item. Be sure to use the same email address you checked out with.

What file format are the songs?

Every song is delivered as a high-quality MP3 that plays on any phone, tablet, or computer — no special software or app required.

Do I need an account to download?

No — you can download straight away from your order confirmation page without creating an account. To get back to your files later, just sign in (or create a free account) using the same email you used at checkout.

I can't find my download or the button isn't working. What should I do?

First, check your spam or junk folder for your order confirmation email, and make sure you're signed in with the email you used at checkout. If you're still stuck, reply to your confirmation email or contact us and we'll send your files straight to you.

How do I download on a phone or tablet?

Tap the Download button and your song saves to your Files or Downloads app. On an iPhone, if the song starts playing instead of saving, tap the Share icon and choose “Save to Files”.

How many times can I download my purchase, and how long do I have?

You can download each item up to 3 times, and your download links stay active for 6 months from your purchase. That's plenty to save your music onto more than one device.

Once you've used all 3 downloads or the 6-month period has passed, you'll need to purchase the item again to download it — so we recommend saving your files somewhere safe as soon as you download them.

My download link expired or I've used all my downloads — can I get it again?

Download links stay active for 6 months and allow up to 3 downloads per item. If your link has expired or you've already used all 3 downloads, you'll need to purchase the item again to download it.

To avoid this, we recommend backing up your files somewhere safe as soon as you've downloaded them.

How do I know if I need a licence?

If you're only enjoying our songs at home, you don't need a licence. You need one when your church, school or organisation uses the music beyond personal listening — for example in services, classrooms, performances, or on screens.

Not sure which applies to you? Tell us how you'd like to use the music and we'll point you to the right licence.
