Tessa Baker
Head of Creative & ProductionA lifelong Love to Sing performer turned Head of Creative Production — shaping the music and videos that bring singing, movement and play to new generations.

Tessa Baker, formerly Tessa Adamson, has been part of Love to Sing for most of her life. From performing and recording as a child to becoming Head of Creative Production, her experience spans performance, education, choreography and creative production.
Growing up with the music
Tessa grew up surrounded by Love to Sing and became one of its familiar young faces and voices.
She recorded songs, performed with the Love to Sing choir and appeared in videos including Here Is a Beehive, Hello Nice Day, Hey Baby Let’s Rock and Roll and We’re Going on a Lion Hunt.
Those early years gave Tessa first-hand experience of how children connect with music through singing, movement and participation.

Performing at home and around the world
Tessa went on to perform hundreds of shows and workshops with Linda in schools, community events and larger public performances.
Her Love to Sing journey also took her internationally, with performances and workshops in Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand.
She has taken part in many community and charitable events, supporting causes including Starship Children’s Hospital, Wilson Home, Variety, Nurture’s Teddy Bears’ Picnic and PORSE’s Christchurch earthquake fundraising efforts.

From education to creative production
Tessa completed an Education Degree and worked as a primary-school teacher, teaching arts, music and drama.
Today, as Head of Creative Production, she draws on that background to help shape Love to Sing’s music and visual content — leading creative development, performance and choreography, and working with vocalists, musicians, arrangers, artists and other creative professionals in New Zealand and around the world.

The next generation of Love to Sing
Tessa now helps lead the creative direction of the business alongside Linda Adamson and her husband, Mark Baker, combining the family’s creative, educational and technical strengths.
Having grown from child performer to educator and creative producer, Tessa brings a lifetime of Love to Sing experience to its future — helping introduce the music to new generations and audiences around the world.
