Techno Warm Down

Music

Each child chooses a found sound source e.g. a ruler, a pencil, your finger. Find three different dynamic levels - loud, medium, and soft.

A conductor raises their arms when the sound is to be played loudly, arms out in front for medium and arms down for a soft sound.

Play along to "Techno Warm Down" and let the conductor control the volume of the "found sounds."

Dance

Using different parts of your body (specified by teacher) e.g. your left knee, your right eye children experiment moving. Teacher calls out 5,4,3,2,1 FREEZE

Leading body parts - move through the space leading the movement with body part specified by the teacher e.g. lead with your right elbow.

Maths

Use a glockenspiel or xylophone - when counting up to 8, start playing from left to right and when counting back from 8, start from right to left.

Literacy

Sing and read along to the YouTube song to achieve multi-sensory learning "Do it, see it and hear it!"

Print out the song PDF

Read the song lyrics - ask children a variety of questions.

Re-read the song lyrics and ask children to join in.

Recognise and use a variety of punctuation when reading. " " ! ? . ,

Look at print and conventions (bold, italics).

Talk about interesting/challenging words and discuss what they mean.

Word study - phonic knowledge, compound words, rhyming word, contractions etc.
